St Joseph’s is a 50 bed nursing home. St. Joseph’s Home Warrenpoint is situated at the mouth of Carlingford Lough along the promenade in one of the most beautiful settings in Ireland.
We facilitate up to 50 elderly patients including people with physical and learning disabilities in private and semi-private rooms. At Joseph’s we care for, help and support our residents while preserving their dignity and enabling them to live their twilight years in maximum comfort and happiness.
About Us
We place great emphasis on the delivery of high quality care to our patients. We aim to provide individualised care that meets the holistic changing needs of each patient. There are qualified nurses and NVQ trained care staff on duty 24 hours a day. In order to deliver this excellent care, client review meetings are held after the first 8 weeks of admission and then yearly, or more frequently if required. This provides a formal opportunity for the client, the family, Social Services and the Home to meet and review the care package.
The Spiritual needs of all denominations are accommodated. There is a Chapel that provides a Sacred space for quiet reflection. An activity programme for the residents is provided by staff. A fully equipped sensory room is available to encourage relaxation.
Offering quality care for:
- Able bodied residents.
- Semi and fully dependent patients.
- Short term placements for respite and convalescent care.
Why Choose Us

We aim to provide a homely and secure environment and are always open to suggestions or comments that will enable us to improve or develop our care provision.
For special occasions and celebrations, outside entertainers provide party evenings to which family and friends are very welcome. During the spring & summer, regular outings are organised and clients are encouraged to take part. The schedule of outings is decided by the residents themselves e.g. Shopping trips, picnics, visiting areas of local interest etc. Patients are free to leave the home with their family or friends for short periods or overnight. The nursing staff must be informed.

Michelle Duffy
When my sister was discharged from hospital it became apparent that her dementia had progressed to the extent that she was unable to live without full-time medical support and personal care. Our family were delighted when she became a resident in St Joseph’s Care Home in Warrenpoint. The staff are excellent and she feels so at home with them. It is a beautiful place with excellent facilities. I am pleased to say that when I take my sister out for any reason, she is always delighted to return to the place that she now regards as her home
Jamie Murphy, Care Assistant
I have worked at St Joseph’s Nursing Home for four years as a care assistant. My job is very rewarding and I feel I am making a difference to our residents.
St Joseph’s is located in a beautiful building on the coast of Carlingford Lough with great scenery and it has a warm homely feel which is very comforting for our residents.
The staff here I can safely say are some of the most pleasant and caring people I have met and will always do their best to assist and cater to all our resident’s needs.
I would recommend St Joseph’s to any of my own family who would need such service.
